Itinerary:
08:15 – Hotel Pick-up
Our Vespas and experienced riders pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the meeting point at Hanoi Cathedral. Meet your tour guide for a safety briefing and an introduction to the day’s itinerary.
08:45 – Hanoi Flea Market & Nguyen Cong Tru Old Apartments
Begin your Vespa journey through the city centre to the Hanoi Flea Market and the Nguyen Cong Tru old apartment complex. This area is like a living museum, bringing you back to Hanoi’s subsidy period 40–50 years ago. Walk around the flea market with hundreds of mechanical accessory shops and learn how it was created to meet daily needs during times of shortage.
09:30 – Long Bien Bridge & Banana Island
Ride to the historic Long Bien Bridge built in 1898 by the French company Daydé & Pillé, and enjoy panoramic views of the Red River. Continue to Banana Island for a 1.5 km walk through green farmland, floating houses, outdoor gyms, and river beaches. Meet an 86-year-old elderly couple living in a small floating house—an authentic insight into the contrast between wealth and hardship in Hanoi.
10:30 – Ceramic Mosaic Road, West Lake & B52 Lake
Ride along the world-record Ceramic Mosaic Road, pass the romantic West Lake, and weave through the zigzag alleys of Ngoc Ha Village. Stop at B52 Lake, where the remains of a US B-52 bomber shot down during the December 1972 bombing of Hanoi can still be seen.
11:00 – Hanoi Train Street
Visit the famous Hanoi Train Street. Although some sections are temporarily closed for safety reasons, we know exactly when and where it is safe to see the train. Walk along the railway, observe local daily life, and enjoy a drink while waiting for the train to pass just centimeters away.
11:45 – Local Restaurant Lunch
Sit down at a truly local Vietnamese restaurant and enjoy a cozy lunch, savoring the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine.
12:15 – Return to Hotel
After lunch, ride back to your hotel by Vespa.
